Full Job Description Bus Monitor Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety and well-being of students while on the bus
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and bus driver
• Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus safely
• Maintain order and discipline on the bus
• Monitor student behavior and address any issues that arise
• Collaborate with the bus driver to ensure a smooth and efficient bus route
• Report any incidents or concerns to appropriate school personnel

Skills:

• Childcare experience, preferably working with school-aged children
• Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond to emergencies
• Strong conflict management skills to handle any disputes or disruptions on the bus
• Ability to manage student behavior and enforce bus rules
• Familiarity with special education needs and accommodations for students with disabilities
