Our healthcare professionals create personalized, developmentally stimulating environments where children are able to interact and thrive. We offer physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, educational curriculum, and of course lots of fun. Our Louisiana clinics include Denham Springs, Lake Charles, Lafayette and coming soon Baton Rouge. Our Mississippi clinics include Columbus and Hattiesburg.
Who we are looking for:
Full – time Bus Attendant The bus attendant will provide transportation assistance and ensure the safety of children with special requirements during their transit to and from our facility and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accompany children on the bus, ensuring their safety and well-being during transit.
- Help children on and off the bus to ensure their safety using mobility assistance devices.
- Monitor children for signs of distress, medical issues, or discomfort. Report any concerns immediately and keep consistent documentation.
- When necessary, assist with administering basic medical care under the guidance of licensed medical staff.
- Assist in Keeping the bus clean, organized, and stocked with necessary medical supplies and safety equipment.
- Be trained in emergency procedures and first aid, including how to handle medical situations and evacuations if necessary.
- Communicate any issues or concerns to parents, guardians, and staff regarding the child’s transportation or health status.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of pediatric experience in a healthcare setting.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Knowledge of basic medical procedures for children with special needs.
- Ability to remain calm and focus during stressful situations.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Ability to assist children with mobility needs (lifting, supporting, wheelchairs, etc.
).
