Job Summary:

WORK HOURS

6:30am – 8:30am AND 2:30 – 4:30pm (split shift) Under the direction of the Transportation Supervisor or Designee, assists the Bus
Driver in providing safe and punctual transportation. Observes and monitors behavior of children
to promote their wellbeing and safety while being transported to and from school. Focuses on and addresses specific student needs that cannot be managed from the driver’s seat. Actively
engaged in and involved in the safe boarding, transportation and exiting of passengers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to meet the physical, mental, and other requirements necessary to perform job
related functions.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written communication.
Ability to work and communicate with students, parents and school personnel in a positive
manner.
Ability to maintain a patient, positive, and persistent attitude.
Ability to pass a background test and pre-employment drug screening.
Ability to travel for an extended period of time on a school bus, seated in different
locations throughout the vehicle, while on curvy/winding routes, without experiencing
motion sickness.
