Franklin, TN, 37064 Job Description The School Bus Monitor is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of students while they are being transported to and from school. The monitor will work closely with the bus driver to maintain a safe and orderly environment on the bus. Responsibilities Assist students in boarding and exiting the bus safely Ensure that students are seated and wearing seat belts (if applicable) Monitor student behavior and enforce school bus rules Report any incidents or issues to the bus driver and/or school administration Assist students with special needs as required Perform regular safety checks on the bus Communicate with parents/guardians as needed Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Experience working with children preferred Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in stressful situations Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Ability to pass a background check and drug test
