We Play, a provider of recreational sports classes for kids ages 1.5 to 8, is searching for a dedicated and high-energy class assistant to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for college students, education enthusiasts, or anyone who loves working with kids and is seeking flexible part-time work. If you’re looking to make a positive impact on the growth and development of young learners in a fun, active setting, we encourage you to apply! Recreational Assistants help with sports and recreation classes. Note that classes are held at various locations throughout Greenwich, Stamford, and New Canaan. Your Role and Impact As a Recreational Assistant, you will be a key player in creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere for our sports and recreation classes. You will work alongside our lead coaches to deliver engaging and fun experiences for children aged 2-7. This role offers the potential for growth within our organization for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the lead coach to execute dynamic lesson plans and activities. Actively participate in setting up and cleaning up class areas. Provide one-on-one support to children, ensuring they feel included and encouraged. Contribute your creative ideas to help shape our play-based learning curriculum. Foster a safe, positive, and fun environment for all participants. Communicate effectively and professionally with children, parents, and fellow team members. Necessary Skills

  • High energy and enthusiasm are absolute musts!
  • Be great with kids and especially younger children (2-5 yo range)
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with students, colleagues, and parents effectively
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability Preferred Skills
  • Previous experience with children in a group setting (camp, classroom, etc.) is preferred, but we’ll train the right candidate
  • Ability to maintain a positive environment
  • We would love someone who has creative ideas for play-based learning lesson plans but this is not necessary.
  • Knowledge of sports is helpful, but also not necessary Important This is a part time job with limited hours!
