Greenwich High School Class of 2029 Advisor – 2 positions available

Stipend:

$2,465
Typically, a Class Advisor position is held for four years. In the ninth-grade year, typical club functions include:
Planning and supervising monthly meetings with Class officers and other students in the Class, acting as a sounding board and support for students’ ideas.
Attending a Student Government meeting prior to the start of the student school year to plan for grade-level events, review policies and procedures, answer questions, etc.
Hosting two events during the school year to build community, one being grade-specific.
Supervising and scheduling fundraising efforts created by the Class officers and other stdueents in the Class, maintaining accurate records of fundraising efforts.
Supervising Class events and assisting the Student Activities Office in scheduling/organizing such events.
Completing deposit and disbursement forms when necessary.
Supporting other Class advisors in supervising/chaperoning Class events.
Participating in grade-level assemblies.
Participating in Homecoming events.
Participating in Spirit Weeks.
Leading Class elections.
Participating in the end-of-year Class field trip.
Attending 9th-grade parent meeting(s).
In the subsequent years, typical club functions include:
Grade 10
Participating in functions similar to those of Grade 9, in addition to participating in GHS Graduation as a Class activity.
Grade 11
Participating in functions similar to those of Grades 9-10, in addition to participating in the Junior Prom.
Grade 12
Participating in functions similar to those of Grades 9-11, in addition to participating in the Senior Prom, Graduation, and various other end-of-year events.
Qualifications
Preference will be given to Greenwich High School staff, then to other Greenwich Public Schools staff
