Our goal is to help all kids build confidence, self worth, and a belief that they can achieve anything.

Position Overview:

Summer Camp Counselors directly engage with campers ages K-6th grade, and play a key leadership role in implementing daily activities, ensuring a safe, positive, and enriching environment for all participants. This position is responsible for facilitating a cohesive, fun, mission-aligned camp experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and engage groups of campers in daily activities Implement and lead curriculum activities across IGB’s four enrichment pillars (Financial Literacy, Communication Skills, Critical Thinking, and Emotional Wellness) Ensure camper safety, inclusivity and well-being at all times Foster positive behavior management through social interactions and conflict resolution Assist with camp activities, coverage and daily check-in/check-out procedures, as assigned Participate in and supervise campers on field trips and during special events Maintain regular communication with camp leadership and parents Contribute to program planning and evaluation to enhance summer camp program Model positive behaviors through relationship-building, adherence to camp rules, health standards, emergency procedures and supporting a strong team environment

Qualifications:

High school diploma required; some college experience preferred Experience working with children and adults in educational or recreational settings Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lead group activities with enthusiasm and efficacy Creativity, patience, flexibility, and problem-solving abilities CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Level 2 background screening clearance required

Hours:

Full-time, seasonal (June-August), including pre-camp training
