NSC Staffing NSC Staffing is hiring a Marine Outfitter Lead to support the outfitting of Littoral Combat Ships (LCS) during repair availabilities at BAE Jacksonville and Naval Station Mayport. The ideal candidate will have strong experience reading blueprints, outfitting aluminum and carbon steel structures, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders on Navy ship repair projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the outfitting and repair of LCS-class vessels, including aluminum and carbon steel structural work. Read and interpret blueprints to ensure proper installation and alignment of marine systems and outfitting components, including insulation and lagging materials Collaborate with shipyard teams, subcontractors, LMCO representatives, ship’s force, and government inspectors. Install, repair, and maintain marine systems, including electronics, wiring, fuel, habitability, and control systems. Perform safety checks, inspections, and ensure compliance with industry standards and government regulations. Coordinate with marine professionals to deliver seamless outfitting and repair support. Maintain accurate documentation of outfitting activities and inspections. Operate hand and power tools, including measuring and cutting tools. Support customization and adaptation of boats to project or customer specifications.

Qualifications:

5+ years of marine outfitting, insulation, joiner/sheetmetal or related shipyard experience. Ability to read blueprints and install marine systems on aluminum and carbon steel structures. Familiarity with the LCS platform is strongly preferred. Must be eligible to obtain DBIDS access (U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required). OSHA 10 Maritime certification and Firewatch training required. High level of attendance and willingness to work overtime, including weekends. Working knowledge of multiple shipyard trades including structural, welding, electrical, and outfitting is a plus. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Why NSC Staffing?
