Palm River Road, Tampa, FL 33619 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Youth Sports Mentor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in guiding and supporting young individuals in their personal and social development. This position involves working closely with students in various activities, including sports and recreational events. The Youth Sports Mentor will foster a positive environment that encourages growth, confidence, and skill development. Duties & Responsibilities

• Plan and implement daily after-school programming for students including refreshments, icebreaker activities to start the session, sports activities, career exploration opportunities, and small group processing to end sessions.
• Encourage students to set academic and personal goals, including improved academic performance, improved school attendance, and improved overall behavior.
• Facilitate developmental workshops utilizing community partners and agency resources.
• Promote parent and family academic and social engagement by coordinating large scale events for parents and families.
• Maintain participants’ data, including student sign-in sheets, progress alerts and report cards, and parental “pre” and “post” surveys.
• Maintain professional standards including confidentiality, proper role modeling, and appropriate dress.
• Attend CDC team meetings and training sessions as scheduled. Job Requirements
• 3+ years Mentoring experience a must
• Bilingual Spanish a must
• Associates or Bachelors degree preferred but not required
• Part Time role ( Monday – Thursday between 2:00pm – 6:00pm )
• Sports background and/or coaching experience a plus
• Part Time position may become full time within 1 year
