Position Summary Under the general supervision of the Program Supervisors, the incumbent is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of recreational programs and events, including community classes, cultural activities, special events, and year-round programs. Duties include coordinating, and participating in activities for all ages, as well as managing facility rentals. The incumbent ensures programs and activities are conducted safely and in accordance with established policies and procedures. Work is reviewed through observation and reports to ensure compliance with departmental standards. Examples of Essential Functions Assists in the development, promotion, scheduling and facilitation of recreational activities for all participants. Assists in the coordination and supervision of team activities in both indoor and outdoor settings, providing instruction and guidance for games and group activities. Maintains a safe and healthy environment at all times while promoting healthy and safe behavior; administers basic first aid as needed and provides guidance to participants. Communicates effectively with the public, responding to inquiries regarding departmental programs, facility use, and recreational activities. Maintains accurate records including attendance logs, program schedules, activity details, and inventory of equipment and supplies. Assists in preparing reports and requisitions for program materials and supplies; identifies and reports maintenance or repair needs for buildings, equipment, or facilities. Oversees and monitors facility rentals, assisting renters with setup and cleanup, ensuring all required documentation is completed, and verifying compliance with rental policies and facility cleanliness standards.

Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent with two (2) years of experience in Recreation programming or a combination of comparable training and experience. Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License.
