Memory Care Activities Assistant Courtyard Gardens Senior Living 3005 South Congress Avenue, Boynton Beach, FL 33426 Overview The Activity Assistant plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents in long-term care facilities or senior communities. This position involves planning, organizing, and implementing engaging activities that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and physical well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a compassionate nature and a strong desire to support seniors in their daily lives. Duties Plan and facilitate a variety of recreational and therapeutic activities tailored to the interests and needs of residents. Assist in the development of activity schedules and ensure timely execution of events. Engage residents in meaningful conversations and encourage participation in group activities. Collaborate with caregiving staff to ensure that all activities are aligned with individual care plans. Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all participants during activities. Document resident participation and feedback to continuously improve activity offerings. Provide support for residents with special needs, including those with dementia or other cognitive impairments. Skills Strong caregiving skills with an understanding of senior care principles. Excellent schedule management abilities to coordinate multiple activities effectively. Background in social work or related fields is beneficial for understanding resident needs. Exceptional communication skills to interact positively with residents, families, and team members. A genuine passion for caring for others and enhancing their quality of life.
