Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree with emphasis in athletic training, exercise or sport science, athletic or sports administration, physical education, or closely related field. One (1) year of related experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Fitness/Aquatic Center Manager II with the daily oversight, supervision, training of student and part time staff, and actual staffing needs of the Fitness/Aquatic Centers as needed and indicated by the posted schedule and hours of operation. Assist with the daily maintenance and upkeep of all equipment for the Fitness/Aquatic Centers and also the Athletic Training areas; and assist with the updating of the five and ten year capital purchases recommendation list. Assist the Athletic Training and Sports Medicine staff with the daily staffing and oversight of the program including staffing of the training room, coverages of team practices, scrimmages and competition held on the campus. This includes providing expertise and services for all prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries with the college’s student athletes. Cover home athletic events and travel to competition events and post-season tournaments as needed. Assist in the development of designing, implementing and evaluation a comprehensive fitness program for student and staff, including the college’s student-athlete population. Assist the School of Health and Wellness and Intercollegiate Athletic staff with all aspects of daily operations and event management and oversight as indicated and requested.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Must possess knowledge of computers, peripherals, and software programs such as Microsoft Suite (ex: word, excel, etc.).
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Must be flexible to meet the demands of the College.
Must have strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask.
