Golf Shop Store Attendant The Ford Field & River Club Inc 48 Ford Way, Richmond Hill, GA 31324
JOB SUMMARY:
Includes but is not limited to responsibility for the day-to-day retail operations in the Golf Shop.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assists with the day-to-day functions associated with the retail in the Golf Shop to include but not limited to running Point-of-Sale, merchandise sales, general store upkeep, receiving and stocking, documentation of all sales and general administrative duties. Assist in ordering merchandise and taking monthly inventory within the store. Provides a professional, hospitable, and courteous environment to all members, guests, and prospects. Able to offer knowledgeable advice to clients regarding the available merchandise and its best use. Assists clients with special orders for merchandise. Assist in processing invoices/billing to members and their guests. Assisting with checking in golfers, scheduling of play, assisting with events as requested, coordinating lessons, and interaction and coordination with the Assistant Golf Professionals on various club activities. Maintains the interior and exterior of the Golf Shop in all aspects of a clean and neat facility.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures that all members, guests, and co-workers are treated in a friendly and respectful manner in accordance with the standards of excellence of The Ford Field and River Club. Assists in other departments and performs additional related duties as required. Understands and follows policies and procedures of the department and The Ford Field and River Club overall.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALIFIATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required. Excellent customer service skills required. Retail experience preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills required. Professional, friendly, and outgoing attitude, appearance and demeanor required. Valid driver’s license required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Standing, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling and working in inclement weather. Lifts 50 pounds. Hearing must be sufficient to understand conversation on the telephone in a noisy environment.
