Program Leader – Best Friend Park 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars Gwinnett County, GA Class Summary Job Description The Program Leader will be a crucial point of contact for citizens, responding to their questions and concerns about our recreational programs. This ideal candidate will interface with the public and facilitate services and communication between patrons and athletics associations, warming station staff, community navigators, and other agency partners. Additionally, this position will be responsible for creating well-structured schedules for the programs and activities assigned to community members. Essential Duties Maintains up-to-date documentation of daily program activities, class registrations, attendance records, daily deposits, and facility usage Promotes assigned programs by speaking at events and sharing marketing materials Manages customer inquiries, staff, community groups, and facility operations including summer activities, and workshops Manages all community rentals of gymnasiums, fields, tennis courts, activity rooms, pavilions, and outdoor spaces Preparing and maintaining various records and financial reports Assisting with special events and programming Performing other duties of a similar nature or level, as assigned Grade The Grade for this position is B22(1). The salary will be based on education and experience. Minimum Qualifications Associate degree in parks and recreation, health and human services, or a related field AND One year of related experience Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered. Valid driver’s license CPR Certification within 6 months First Aid Certification within 6 months Preferred Qualifications in addition to the above minimum qualifications Two years of recreation support experience CPR and First Aid within the first 6 months of employment Other Job Requirements/Information Must be able to work a variety of hours, weekends, daytime, evenings, and holidays Public Speaking Communicates and interacts with coworkers, supervisor, general public, etc. using interpersonal skills, sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
