We are currently looking for a Memory Care Activity Assistant for The Barclay House of Augusta Primary Responsibilities of the

Memory Care Activity Assistant:

Successfully implements the memory care activity calendar daily. Collaborates with the Director of Memory Care and Reunion Coordinator on activities and entertainment that best meet the needs of the residents. Ensures residents have an opportunity to exercise each day. Receives instruction and recommendations from the Director of Memory Care and Reunion Coordinator. Implements the Reunion Program for each resident at the time of admission. Assists new residents in adjusting to their unique environment and schedule. Ensures that new residents are placed at a dining table with other residents who share similar interests and socialization abilities.

Requirements:

Requirements Must have a caring heart and willingness to serve others A High School Diploma is required. Ability to multi-task and good organization skills, communication and public relations skills, display traits of creativity, flexibility and teamwork a must Must have 1 years of experience with geriatric population, including Alzheimer’s Dementia with ability to adapt to changing behaviors Proven computer skills with Microsoft Word and Office Be flexible with work schedule including holidays and weekends Ability to market the activities and events to family members through use of social media Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities
