Recreations Coordinator 2.1 2.1 out of 5 stars 1065 Milne Circle, Covington, LA 70435 The Recreation Coordinator plans, documents, and supervises all activities to meet the recreational needs of clients and plays an active role on the interdisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities:

Assess clients annually to determine interests and abilities for daily and leisure activities Provide evaluation summaries for each client annually Serve as an active member of the Interdisciplinary Team Deliver in-service training to staff on the role and importance of recreation Develop and distribute weekly schedules of leisure and weekend activities, including special events and off-campus field trips Document all recreational and leisure activities, including special events and outings Attend all required staff training sessions Assist in sourcing new materials and resources to enhance recreational programs Accompany and assist clients during community activities such as shopping trips, salon visits, and recreational outings Build strong, supportive relationships with individuals to foster a sense of security and belonging Support and supervise clients during visits to the assigned day program Report to the Program Director and Executive Director Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Degree in a related specialty area (Art, Music, Physical Education, Therapeutic Recreation) OR in a recreational, classroom, or day habilitation setting A driver’s license is required, and a Clean Driving Record Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Ability to lead group activities and interact compassionately with individuals Flexibility to work varied hours and participate in off-campus events Join us in making a positive impact on the lives of our residents through engaging recreational activities that promote health, happiness, and community connection.
