Recreation Supervisor•Sports Programs The City of Warrensburg is accepting applications for a Full Time Recreation Supervisor•Sports Coordinator with the Parks & Recreation Department. Wage range $36,270.83-54,416.96 annually, plus employee benefit package.

Minimum Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree in Parks & Recreation, or related field, plus professional experience. Must possess a valid Driver’s License. On call, after-hours, and weekend duty within a 40-hour week is required. This position is a supervisory and leadership role responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing a comprehensive Sports Program for the community across multiple locations and a variety of settings. The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge of sports programming, staff supervision, and professional service delivery. The candidate will lead by example, demonstrate a commitment to excellence, possess sound analytical decision-making skills, utilize outstanding communication and time-management skills, and be a valuable partner for internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have knowledge and experience preparing and managing operating budgets, coordinating league operations, maintaining athletic facilities and equipment, and working with recreation software applications to manage programs and registrations. The candidate should also have the ability to interpret and administer departmental policies, establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, City officials, and the public, or possess any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Works independently at a skilled level under the general supervision of the Recreation Superintendent.
