Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program for residents in an assisted living and memory care facility.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate a variety of activities, events, and outings to meet the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of residents.
  • Create a monthly activity calendar that offers a diverse range of activities to engage residents.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure the smooth execution of activities and events.
  • Assess residents’ interests, preferences, and abilities to tailor activities to their individual needs.
  • Provide support and assistance to residents during activities.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff members to promote participation in activities and address any concerns or feedback.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in activity planning or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the specific needs and challenges of individuals in assisted living, or memory care settings.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules and coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff members.
  • Understanding of dementia care principles and techniques is highly desirable.
  • Ability to provide compassionate care and support to residents during activities and events.
  • CPR/First Aid certification may be required.
