1 River Landing is presently seeking a dynamic Wellness Assistant for our community located in Colfax, NC. The right person for this role must be a passionate self-starter that enjoys working independently, leading fitness classes for our residents. Preferably, this person will have one to two years of Wellness Assistant experience along with 1 year as a group exercise instructor.

General Responsibilities The Wellness Assistant aids our residents in maintaining and improving their overall health. The Wellness Assistant is responsible for developing relationships with our residents and assisting them through the process of actively working towards better health by providing support, encouragement, and education. They will also be providing wellness orientations and helping residents learn to use and set up equipment. After the initial orientation, the Wellness Assistant provides ongoing support to ensure the resident has the best chance of reaching their goals. Essential Duties, this is not an all-inclusive list Greet and welcome all residents and guests into the wellness center. Monitor the wellness center as residents use the equipment to ensure their general safety. Cleaning and sanitation of the wellness center and the equipment. Monitor equipment and ensure it is in good working condition. Emergency response when needed. Designing creative programs to keep residents engaged. Overseeing resident fitness assessments Assist with community wide events Collaborate and assist with other duties as requested
Qualifications Education/Training:
National certification (ACE, NETA, AFAA, NASM, ACSM) in group fitness instruction. Certification is preferred. Skill(s): Communication skills; Organizational skills;

Flexible Experience:
Minimum of one year in a related field. Preferred experience in personal training and/or health and wellness programming #hp powered by
