Description:

At MPCC, our Fitness & Wellness Attendants observe member and staff activities in the Wellness Center and locker room areas, to ensure member safety and proper maintenance of the weight room, group exercise room, and day lockers. This role is responsible for following proper opening and closing procedures, as well as established protocols in the event of an emergency. General duties include ensuring a safe environment for members by enforcing MPCC’s policies regarding operation and safety.

Requirements:

Patrol and monitor building activities during operational hours Greet and check in members, guests, and staff pleasantly Answer questions about facility operations and scheduling Be prepared to respond to any needs or requests of members or guests Follow established protocols promptly in the event of any emergency Perform light cleaning duties periodically throughout shift (straightening up, wiping down equipment, restocking towels/cups, etc.) Maintain a neat and orderly work environment at the front desk Follow opening and closing procedures Communicates any problems, including those regarding equipment, to appropriate manager Excellent communication and customer service skills Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to critical situations Attends training sessions and regular staff meetings; researches assigned projects and topics; provides continuing education to other staff members Assists with special events in other club departments when necessary

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred At least 1 year of previous experience relevant to the position, or prior experience at Myers Park Country Club Ability to follow written and verbal instructions effectively Excellent customer service skills Enthusiastic, friendly personality and positive demeanor Current shift needs are M/W/F 5:30am-12:30pm and T/R 5:30am-5pm.
