Building Facilities Technician I (Recreation & Parks) City of Greenville – 3.8 Greenville, NC Job Details Full-time $40,435.20 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Mechanical knowledge Entry level Full Job Description JOB The City of Greenville seeks a Building Facilities Technician I for Recreation and Parks. Under general supervision, performs skilled maintenance and construction work on City buildings, equipment, facilities, and other properties; performs related work as required.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Perform carpentry work in the construction and routine maintenance of City buildings, structures, park amenities, and facilities;Install and make repairs to fencing, plumbing, and electrical apparatuses;Perform general painting, trimming, and wallpapering work;climbing on and off rooftops with ladders;working off of various ladders at various heights;Install and finish Sheetrock or plaster, carpeting, and suspended ceilings;Install and repair playground apparatuses, tennis courts, and other outdoor play surfaces;Repair and finish concrete walks, play areas, steps, and other masonry work;Install and repair water lines, fountains, and sprinklers in parks;Perform skilled mechanical work in the operation of swimming pool facilities and equipment;Weld repairs on equipment, gates, handrails, etc..Operate and maintain a variety of machines and equipment as needed;Operate a variety of hand and small power tools;Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Must possess and maintain a valid, current North Carolina driver’s license that is not revoked, suspended, or subject to limited restoration or conditional operation privileges and an acceptable driving record.
This position is Essential Personnel; when required, reports to work during inclement weather, natural disasters, and emergency situations.
