- Holliswood Center is hiring a RecreationAide in Hollis, NY.
•
DUTIES:
Assist department staff with the implementation of activitiesand programs for Residents; focusing on individualinterests. Work directly with Residents on units; without directsupervision. Organize and obtain supplies and equipment asrequested. Assist recreation specialists & set up program areas asneeded. Keep daily attendance and document residents’ participation inactivities. Assist residents to program location and return residents toappropriate units. Be familiar with established emergency procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
Exp. with activities in a healthcare setting or college work inrecreation therapy Previous experience with Geriatric populationpreferred Basic
- computer skills necessary Knowledge of APIE (assessment / planning / implementation /evaluating) programs Ability to work effectively as a team member Strong organizational & planning skills; ability tomulti-task Passion for the job and a love for working with the elderly isa must!
