Activities Assistant/PCA 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars 23 Geremonty Dr, Salem, NH 03079 Silverthorne Day Care currently has an opportunity for a Activities Assistant/PCA who is responsible for providing a stimulating environment and caring environment for program participants through daily activities.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday (8:00am – 3:00pm)

Responsibilities:

Responsible for helping to plan, prepare, and coordinate activities. Cleans up following activities. Develops strong relationships with participants and participants’ families. Assists during meals with transporting residents between the dining and activities area. Helping with Activities of Daily Living (e.g.,, toileting, feeding, grooming). Assist with the pick-up/drop-off of participants. Works within regulatory requirements and adheres to organizational policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate Degree in Nursing, Recreational Therapy, Healthcare Administration or related field Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to multi task and prioritize. Previous experience working with individuals diagnosed with Dementia/Alzheimer’s. 1 year of experience in geriatric care.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Recreational Therapy, Healthcare Administration or related field preferred. Prior experience working with individuals with dementia/Alzheimer’s. and special care needs Prior MDS experience is preferred. First Aid and CPR Certification preferred. PSW certificate preferred. Prior experience in customer service. Prior experience coordinating events.
