Full Job Description Overview:

Life Engagement Facilitator/ Activities Assistant RiverWoods Exeter is currently hiring for a Life Engagement Facilitator (Activities Assistant) to join our Healthcare team and work with our residents towards leading a more active lifestyle and engaging in programs with our residents, many of whom have greater cognitive and physical support needs. This is a full-time position with working every 3rd weekend required.

Responsibilities:

This position will connect with residents, lead group activities and share enriching experiences to promote purpose and meaning in their lives. A positive attitude, flexibility, and commitment to teamwork are essential. Computer skills are also preferred. Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating the activities program of the facility. Implement activity procedures as directed by the Life Engagement Manager by creating decorations, setting up necessary equipment and crafts, escorting residents to and from activity areas, assist in scheduling residents for activities, supervise activities as necessary. Encourage residents to participate in activities, promote conversations with residents on a regular basis, routinely visit residents, conduct individual and/or group activities to encourage purpose and meaning in the lives of the residents. Develops professional relationships with a wide range of residents, family members, co-workers and supervisors which allows open communication based on mutual respect.

Qualifications:
