PURPOSE:

The Activities Aide provides therapeutic activities to residents that are designed to meet the interests and to improve the physical, mental and psycho-social well-being of each resident according to the comprehensive resident assessment and plan of care.

DUTIES:

HOURS 10AM-6PM

Assist the Activities Director with implementing activity programs to meet the needs of the resident(s) Maintain resources needed for each residents’ activity needs Complete assignments timely, completely and accurately Attend all in-service classes as assigned and complete assignments Document resident activities provided to residents and the resident’s response or lack of response Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility information Follow facility procedure transfer of residents for activity participation Come to work in a clean, neat uniform and consistently present an appropriate professional appearance Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality Assume accountability for data contained in the employee handbook Additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
