We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Activity Assistant to join our team. As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and implementing engaging activities. Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and coordinating a variety of activities and events for residents, such as games, crafts, outings, and exercise programs
• Engage residents in meaningful conversations and provide companionship
• Assist with the setup and cleanup of activity areas
• Escort residents to and from activities, ensuring their safety and well-being
• Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
• Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress
• Collaborate with the activity director and other team members to develop creative and stimulating activity programs
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff members

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in senior care or caregiving preferred
• Knowledge of dementia care and memory care techniques is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules effectively
• Compassionate and patient demeanor
