OPEN WhatYou’ll Do:

Supervise and coordinate center activities to ensure asafe, structured, and supportive student environment. Work withstaff members to promote positive student behavior and engagement.

Monitor campus safety, respond to incidents, and enforce policies.

Provide mentorship and guidance to students, helping them developlife and career skills. Work collaboratively with differentdepartments to maintain a productive and goal-oriented atmosphere.

The Recreation Advisor is responsible for workingwith Recreation team to provide students with a comprehensive anddiverse recreation program. They promote health and wellnessthrough overseeing the recreation activities as outlined on theapproved recreation schedule. The Recreation Advisor will workdirectly with staff and students to ensure that Center policies andprocedures are followed and enforced. For this position a HighSchool Diploma or equivalent is

REQUIRED.

The Recreation AdvisorMUST posses a valid in State Driver’s License and MUST meet Companyinsurability requirement. Advanced degrees preferred. Prefer JobCorps or related program experience. There are physicalrequirements which include sitting, standing, climbing, walking,lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping andcrouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and /or theability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessaryassistance. $500 Sign on

BONUS RESPONSIBILITIES

Follows allintegrity guidelines and procedures and ensures no manipulation ofstudent data. o Assists with the supervision of a comprehensive anddiverse recreation program. Coordinates recreation activities withCPP and Social Development to include evening programming.

Coordinates recreation and leadership activities/programs withCenter and local community resources. Ensures safe practices andprogram compliance within prescribed safety guidelines. o Documentsstudent participation and accountability during recreationactivities. Maintains inventory of equipment and material andcontrols their use. Recommends purchase of specific equipment.

Performs repairs on equipment as needed. Responsible for theoverall appearance, condition and organization of the recreationdepartment facilities. May oversee student recreation aide program.o Produces quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely andaccurate manner. o Maintains appropriate personal attendance,accountability and work productivity standards. o Plans,prioritizes and organizes assignments to meet established goals anddeadlines. Understands and applies job knowledge to effectivelycomplete all required job responsibilities. Proactively maintainsthe skills required to perform job duties. Mentors, monitors andmodels the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH.Provides high-quality supervision and management for the studentpopulation and positively influences student behavior. Showsrespect and courtesy to students and holds them accountable fortheir actions and behavior. Provides timely operational support forCenter operations to ensure quality programs and services. Pursuesimprovement in Center operations to fulfill program objectives.

Exchanges ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in aclear and concise manner and contributes meaningfully to groupefforts by offering relevant ideas and knowledge. Provides qualityand timely information to DOL/Company when requested. Effectivelyarticulates thoughts and ideas. Identifies problems, analyzescauses and evaluates appropriate solutions prior to taking orrecommending actions. Follows up to ensure prompt/appropriateaction is taken and that problems are in fact corrected. Works inpartnership with staff from all Departments to ensure effectivesupervision and services are provided to students. Acceptsdirection and supervision from the Center Director/Center DutyOfficer/Shift Manager to include assignments to temporarily performjob responsibilities of other departments and positions. Otherduties as assigned. Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

HighSchool Diploma or equivalent required . Associates of Arts Degreeor 1-year related experience working with youth is preferred. MUSTpossess a valid in-State Drivers License and meet Companyinsurability requirements. CDL preferred. Physical requirementsinclude sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pullingand/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching.
