117 – Activity Monitor Community Action Organization Of Western New York Inc Buffalo, NY Job Details $18 an hour 10 hours ago Qualifications Management Microsoft Office High school diploma or GED Supervising experience Computer skills 1 year Entry level Full Job Description This position is responsible for coordinating and supervising events, activities, and programs within the community center, specifically in the gymnasium. Secures the facility at closing time and ensures smooth operations throughout the scheduled activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Primary Responsibilities:
Coordinate community center activity schedules. Monitor participant involvement during events and activities. Provide logistical support for events, including setup, participant registration, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Recruit and collaborate with community partners to offer services within the center. Perform daily security checks and walk-throughs of the facility before closing. Report any serious issues, incidents and needs to the supervisor promptly. Write daily reports or correspondence to the supervisor regarding emergencies or significant incidents. Data entry and assist with general facility management. Interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Complete routine reports and write correspondence clearly.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Satisfactory completion of mandatory trainings. Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED One (1) year experience in a similar role coordinating programs, supervising activities, and basic facility management.
Skills and Abilities:
Must have basic computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to calculate figures and amounts accurately. Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of variables in situations with limited standardization. Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule-based instructions. Must be dependable, responsible, and proactive in handling tasks.
