Recreation Advisor ResponsibilitiesInclude:
Recreation Advisors are responsible for working withRecreation/Evening/Weekend Programs team to provide students withcomprehensive evening and weekend programs. Promotes health andwellness and education and training through overseeing therecreation and evening/weekend activities as outlined on theapproved schedules. Assists with the supervision of a comprehensiveand diverse recreation program. Coordinates with off-Centerpartners to deliver academic and recreation services. Coordinatesrecreation and evening/weekend activities with CPP and SocialDevelopment to include evening and virtual learning programming.
Documents student participation and accountability duringrecreation and evening/weekend activities. Responsible for theoverall appearance, condition and organization of the recreationand evening/weekend department facilities. Provides transportationas required. Provides high-quality supervision and management forthe student population and positively influences student behavior.
Shows respect and courtesy to students and holds them accountablefor their actions and behavior.
Qualifications Recreation AdvisorQualifications & Experience:
Post-Secondary Degree required ORone-year related experience working with youth required. Mustpossess a valid in-State Drivers’ License and meet Companyinsurability requirements. CDL preferred. Physical requirementsinclude sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pullingand/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching.
Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and / or the ability toassess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
