Recreation Advisor PositionInclude:

Recreation AdvisorSummary Recreation Advisors are responsible for working with theRecreation team to provide students with comprehensive evening andweekend programs. Promotes health and wellness and education andtraining through overseeing the recreation and evening/weekendactivities as outlined on the approved schedules. Assists with thesupervision of a comprehensive and diverse recreation program.
Coordinates with off-Center partners to deliver academic andrecreation services. Coordinates recreation and evening/weekendactivities with CPP and Social Development to include evening andvirtual learning programming. Documents student participation andaccountability during recreation and evening/weekend activities.
Responsible for the overall appearance, condition and organizationof the recreation and evening/weekend department facilities.
Provides transportation as required. Provides high-qualitysupervision and management for the student population andpositively influences student behavior. Shows respect and courtesyto students and holds them accountable for their actions andbehavior. Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
High SchoolDiploma or equivalent required. Advanced degrees preferred. Aminimum of one-year Job Corps or related program experiencerequired. A valid Drivers’ License preferred. Physical requirementsinclude sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pullingand/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching.
Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and / or the ability toassess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
