Recreation Coordinator Responsibilities Include:

The RecreationCoordinator is responsible for the implementation of diverserecreational programming and ensuring compliance with therecreation schedule. This person oversees the daily operations ofthe recreation department using proper judgment and discretion toresolve student and staff issues/concerns. The RecreationCoordinator develops and implements a variety of programs to appealto the student population. li Coordinates recreation activities forevening and weekend programming. li Coordinates staff coverage toensure student areas are supervised. li Coordinates recreation andleadership activities/programs with Center and local communityresources. li Documents student participation and accountabilityduring recreation activities. li Maintains inventory of equipmentand materials and controls the use of those items. Recommendspurchase of specific equipment. li Responsible for the overallappearance, condition and organization of the recreation andevening/weekend department facilities. li Provides transportationas required. li Provides high-quality supervision and managementfor the student population and positively influences studentbehavior. Shows respect and courtesy to students and holds themaccountable for their actions and behavior.

QualificationsRecreation Coordinator Qualifications & Experience:

High SchoolDiploma or equivalent required. Associate of Arts Degree or 1-yearrelated experience working with youth required. Must possess avalid in-State Drivers’ License and meet Company insurabilityrequirements. CDL preferred. Physical requirements include sitting,standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing,carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates theability to lift 40 pounds and / or the ability to assess the liftload in order to ask for necessary assistance.
