We are a 28-bed memory care facility that was established in 2018. We are currently looking to add an Activities Assistant to our team!

Shift:

Days and early evenings, every other weekend required. Approximately 15-20 hours per week.

Holidays:

Every other holiday

Training:

Training will be provided on site as part of your orientation and shadowing. Prior experience with dementia residents is preferred.

Job Duties:

Leading group activities including reading, crafting, movies, painting, etc. Assist with planned community outings. Ability to push wheeled carts or lift up to 15lbs. Ability to lead one-on-one activities that engage residents Demonstrate leadership with a positive, energetic and create imagination. Demonstrate motivational skills to encourage resident participation and redirection.

Education :

High School Diploma or GED required Prior experience working with the geriatric population preferred. Prior experience with dementia residents is preferred. SMMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
