Activities Assistant 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars 2401 W Market St, Pottsville, PA 17901 Now Offering Increased Pay Rates Activities Assistant – Part-Time The Gardens at York Terrace | Pottsville, PA Starting at $14.50+/hr The Gardens at York Terrace is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to join our team at our skilled nursing facility in Pottsville, PA. In this role, you will support and engage residents through a variety of recreational and therapeutic activities under the guidance of the Director of Activities.

Available Shifts:

Part time: 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM 1:30 PM – 8:00

PM Key Responsibilities:

Support the emotional, recreational, and social well-being of residents. Assist residents with daily activities such as writing letters, making phone calls, and participating in civic responsibilities (e.g., voter registration). Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress. Help with mail distribution, escort residents to programs, care for facility plants and pets, and assist with internal communications and the monthly newsletter. Facilitate and lead activity programs that promote engagement, creativity, and connection. Distribute and supervise use of craft supplies and encourage resident participation in creative projects.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED preferred. Experience in long-term care or working with elderly or disabled individuals is preferred. Must be at least 18 years old.
