Job Description
Program Coordinator (Parks and Recreation) 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars 580 Broad Street, Central Falls, RI 02863 Job Overview Plan, coordinate, and execute recreational programs, community events, and youth and elderly initiatives. Collaborate with schools, community partners, and city departments to ensure programs align with community needs. Assist with the marketing and promotion of programs through flyers, newsletters, social media, and outreach efforts. Monitor program budgets and track participation to evaluate program impact and report outcomes. Serve as a point of contact for program participants and families; respond to inquiries and maintain clear communication. Help maintain program materials, supplies, and safe environments during activities. Attend meetings, events, and training sessions as required. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and build relationships with diverse community members and stakeholders. Job Purpose This position is responsible for coordinating logistics, fostering community partnerships, promoting participation, creating programs and activities, and ensuring successful program delivery that meets the diverse needs of Central Falls residents.
POSITION REQUIREMNTS HS
Diploma/GED Equivalent Passage of a background check Possess a valid driver’s license Ability to lift heavy loads 2 years minimum management/program experience Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, diverse environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Bilingual (Spanish or other languages). Additional Information Some evenings and weekends required depending on events and program schedules. This is a part-time, non-union position with a flexible schedule. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for enhancing community life through effective parks and recreation programming while demonstrating strong leadership qualities.
