Public Art Studio Coordinator Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Rhode Island 600 Social Street, Woonsocket, RI 02895 Mission Statement Our mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens Job Summary The Public Art Studio Coordinator is responsible for collaborating with the Executive Director to carry out the mission of Riverzedge Arts Project at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Rhode Island (BGCNRI). This role oversees the school-age Public Arts education and training studio, by leading, planning, evaluating, and ensuring high quality group experiences within the studio. Duties & Responsibilities Collaborate with the staff of Riverzedge Arts Project and BGCNRI to increase participation and membership opportunities for young people throughout Northern Rhode Island. Collect and update all registrations, contracts, release forms, and emergency forms that pertain to administration of the studio. Assist with student drop-off/pick-up, ensuring a welcoming environment. Plan, develop, supervise, and implement the program activities and curriculum. Ensure that the studio has adequate supplies and materials for all activities. Maintain up-to-date program records, including attendance, daily schedules, meals and rosters. Keep families informed of program details, highlights and youth accomplishments. Conduct regular structured observations and evaluations of each youth participant. Assist with the planning and promotion of the Art program within the community. Qualifications Must be 18+ and have a degree in art from an accredited institution OR equivalent experience as a working artist in two or more artistic media. Must have a valid driver’s license and obtain/maintain a chauffuer’s license. Must successfully pass all BCI requirements. Must have at least 2 years of experience working with children/young people. Must be or become certified in First Aid and CPR. Facility with Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud programs.
