Duties Performs and/or assists in the operion of a Youth Sports program. Establishes and maintains schedules of events as well as the rules and regulions, and by-laws to be observed. Sets up Gymnasium and hletic fields for sporting events, tournaments, and practices th require a practical knowledge of the rules and procedures of such activities (i.e., simply not manual labor assignments); inspects sports facilities and equipment for security and general conditions. Prepares and maintains youth ball fields to insure safety requirements as well as proper field layout specificion are met. Aids participing youth ages 5-17 in a variety of recreional programs to include sports, fitness programs, and tournaments. Organizes and schedules events to include tournaments and sporting events and arranges for necessary publicity flyers, posters, banners, and newspaper articles. Establishes and maintains schedule of events and posts team and individual standings. Responsible for facilities and all assets in the absence of supervisor. Is responsible for knowing and complying with all applicable Air Force safety, 1 health, and security and fire regulions. Overseas and trains volunteers to include coaches, assistant coaches, and other volunteers. Responsible for planning, conducting, and preparing after-program evaluion reports for all programs. Will be required to opere up to and include a 15 passenger extended van and field maintenance equipment. May open and close facility to prons on assigned shift. Monitors the use of the facility and ensures th only authorized prons utilize the facility by administering identificion checks and monitors prons behavior to ensure proper order. Resolves complaints of prons with tact and diplomacy. Assumes the responsibility of the Youth Sports Director in his/her absence. Qualifying Experience:
Must be least 18 years of age, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and have the ability to speak, read, and write English. In additions, experience which has shown ability to plan, supervise, administer, or cany out sports program; ability to guide and teach participants the skills and techniques for participion in various sports. Must have ability to work with children and extensive knowledge of sports. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Applicant must have progressively responsible experience in a recreion program activity which as involved recreion work in the area of specialty of which the applicant is being A degree in recreion, physical educion, or other reled are or equivalent experience in the recreion field is desirable.
