Projected Hiring Range:
$87,325.53•$104,790.63 per year. Salary is determined based on qualifications.
Work Schedule:
Typical hours are 8:00 am•5:00 pm, however could work major summer holidays and special events as needed

Conferences Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff, processing employee concerns and problems, directing work, counseling, disciplining, and completing employee performance appraisals. Coordinates, assigns and reviews work and establishes work schedules; maintains standards; monitors status of work in progress; inspects completed work assignments; answers questions; gives advice and direction as needed. Assists in the planning, directing, and supervising the activities of all programs and operations of all County Parks. Meets with Park Superintendents to stay informed of the daily operations, problems and concerns and provides guidance to meet the goals of each park. Requires travel to all county parks to provide appropriate guidance as needed. Analyzes department efficiency and effectiveness and makes recommendations for operational improvements to assist the Parks and Recreation Director with short•and long-range planning. Researches and formulates both short•and long-range goals for the department. Formulates and assists in the implementation of policies and procedures. Develops and manages the department budget. Directs the procurement of department equipment, goods and services. Manages various construction, capital replacement, and other special projects with the Parks and Recreation Department. Receives and responds to inquiries, concerns, complaints and requests from citizens and assists Director by preparing materials and documentation for County Management and/or County Council. Performs related work as assigned. About you
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Parks, Recreation, Tourism, Management, Business or Public Administration or related discipline. Eight (8) years of parks and recreation experience or related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Certifications and Licenses:
Valid driver’s license preferred. Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP) or Certified Parks and Recreation Executive (CPRE) preferred. Certified Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens Certification, and Automated External Defibrillator Certifications.
