member of the South Atlantic Conference, is seeking candidates for a graduate assistant position in Sports Communications. The Sports Communications graduate assistant will assist the Director of Sports Communications with creative video and digital content, website and other electronic media, and media relations for LMU’s 23 intercollegiate sports. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Create and post content to athletic department/select athletic programs’ social media accounts.
- Serve as the primary contact for several varsity athletic teams as assigned by the Director of Sports Communications, including the writing of press releases and game recaps, roster and schedule maintenance on the athletics website, game programs, updating student-athlete and coach bios, media relations, and production of statistics at home events if applicable.
- Assist with creating other content including photography, capturing video, written features, development and enhancement of records and archives, and general athletic department website maintenance.
- Assisting the Director of Sports Communications with development and implementation of athletic department media campaigns.
- Assist with LMU Network broadcasts and all FloSports stream productions.

Bachelor’s Degree required Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and InDesign, is preferred Experience with photography and/or video editing is preferred Experience with website management is preferred Expertise managing various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Snapchat is preferred Experience with NCAA statistical programs is preferred
