Hybrid Job Description The Music Recreation Consultant is responsible for driving sales growth by engaging directly with customers, representing the brand at trade shows and industry events, and managing full-cycle sales activities. This role is primarily focused on direct sales in strategic markets, with occasional collaboration with distributors. It requires regular travel, hands-on setup of event displays, and a strong emphasis on proactive relationship-building. Key Responsibilities Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and conferences Set up and break down event booths, including assembly of equipment and display materials Generate new leads and follow up on existing ones to meet and exceed sales targets Build strong customer relationships through product demonstrations, presentations and tailored recommendations Collaborate with the marketing team to align messaging and promotional materials Provide regular reports on sales activities, market trends, and customer feedback Maintain in-depth knowledge of company products and services Drive sales growth in strategic markets as defined by sales management Follow up on inbound leads and proactively research new customer prospects Requirements Minimum 3-5 years of proven territory management and outside sales experience Prior sales experience in schools, construction, or architectural product markets strongly preferred Willingness to travel extensively (up to 50%), including overnights and weekends as needed Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time during trade shows and events Strong interpersonal and communication skills Excellent prospecting and lead generation abilities Self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills Comfortable presenting to both small and large groups Daily updates in CRM system required Proficient with CRM systems and business tools (HubSpot, email, Excel, etc.) Preferred Qualifications Experience in playground industry or the music industry is preferred Familiarity with trade show logistics and booth management Background in territory development and market expansion strategy Bachelor’s Degree Travel Willingness to travel extensively (up to 50%), including overnights and weekends as needed Computer Skills Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Outlook PlayCore and its family of brands considers applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, religion, creed, gender, national origin, age, disability, marital or veteran status, or any other legally protected status.
