As the Rec Services coordinator, you’ll

  • Prepare and maintain a recreational budget
  • Run recreations as needed both indoor & outdoor, morning and afternoon
  • Maintain gym and yard equipment
  • Inventory, and order supplies
  • Oversee the ICS table system, coordinating with central office and ICS services
  • Distribute canteen with the Volunteer Services Coordinator each week
  • Supervise the front office cleanerThis is a full time position, Monday through Friday from 8a-4p, withholidays off.

You will perform other duties directed by superiors.

  • Duties are performed primarily within an institutional setting.

Incumbents must possess considerable interpersonal human relationsskills, including patience, understanding, and humor, to dealeffectively with the institutions inmate population and other staffmembers. Emotional and mental stability is required. Significantinteraction with inmates is required.

  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in recreation, physical education, or therapeuticrecreation.

ORHigh School diploma or equivalent AND four (4) years or more ofexperience at or above a technical level in social services, organizinga community recreation program, education, or a related human servicesprogram, including supervisory or coordinating responsibilities.
