Full Job Description Position Summary:

The Seagate Hotel & Spa is seeking an experienced Reservation Agent to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth operations by handling hotel calls, processing reservations accurately, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, exhibit strong attention to detail, and excel in interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities:

Manage incoming hotel calls professionally, directing guests to the appropriate departments and addressing inquiries promptly. Process guest reservations accurately and efficiently using the Property Management System (PMS). Utilize proficient computer skills to navigate the PMS and other necessary software. Generate and analyze department reports, including daily reports, to support operational efficiency. Communicate effectively with guests to fulfill reservation requests and ensure satisfaction. Adhere to cash handling procedures with precision and in compliance with hotel policies. Maintain punctuality and adhere to uniform standards for scheduled shifts. Complete assigned tasks promptly and efficiently under the guidance of management. Demonstrate flexibility in work schedule, including availability for weekends, nights, and holidays as required. Attend scheduled training sessions and departmental meetings to enhance skills and knowledge. Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support overall hotel operations.

Qualifications:

1 to 3 years of Front Desk experience within a hotel environment preferred. High school diploma or equivalent education required. Familiarity with hotel reservation systems and Property Management Systems is beneficial. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to communicate clearly, courteously, and effectively with guests and colleagues. Flexibility in schedule to accommodate varying shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand, sit, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds. Ability to spend extended periods viewing a computer screen. Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical demands of the job.
