The Assistant Manager is responsible for reviewing, investigating, and resolving accounts in the Baptist Health Accounts Receivables. This involves supervising Biller and Collectors, contributing to the tracking of key performance indicators, identifying and addressing on going training needs, and working with a focus on process improvement. The Assistant Manager will excel at communicating expectations to team members and providing follow up to ensure task completion. The Assistant Manager will utilize multiple computer systems (STAR Financials, SSI ClickOn, MPF, PowerChart, etc.) on a daily basis. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for a variety of Billing and Collections activities. The Assistant Manager will work at the direction of the CBO Billing and Follow up Manager and other CBO Leadership to facilitate ongoing operations.
Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent required.
College degree or technical certification preferred.
Three years supervisor or team lead experience preferred.
Previous background of working in a healthcare related field for at least one year required.
Experience with UB 04 and 1512 claim form billing for all payer types.
Experience with Insurance Follow Up standards and practices (CAS codes).
Must have PC experience with Microsoft Office suite.
CPAR preferred.
Ability to perform analytical problem solving and basic math. Organization and time management skills.
Ability to follow directions and establish priorities effectively.
Self directed and capable of working with Team Leads without direct supervision.
Dependable in both production and attendance.
Ability to work effectively with a wide range of customers in a diverse environment.
Strong interpersonal and public relations.
Working knowledge of PC applications, Word, Excel, etc.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Willing attitude to assume additional duties as department needs dictate.
Ability to maintain a professional and customer centric composure in difficult or challenging.
Ability to prioritize workload to achieve maximum efficiency.
Ability to provide a positive customer service experience to guest, visitors, and patients.
Knowledge of HIPAA standards and regulations.
Knowledge of federal, commercial, and managed care payers.
Ability to operate concurrently within a variety of hospital systems.
