Full-Time About JoyStiX JoyStiX is Connecticut’s first next-generation social gaming lounge, blending premium PC and console stations, custom racing simulators, private gaming booths, and a full bar and kitchen. By day, we welcome families and casual gamers; by night, we host esports tournaments, karaoke, trivia, and table-game events — all tracked on our online leaderboard. Our mission is to deliver immersive, modern entertainment in a sophisticated yet fun atmosphere. Role Overview As Operations Manager , you’ll be the linchpin of our daily operations and guest experience. You’ll oversee staffing, inventory management, events, and marketing outreach—ensuring every customer leaves eager to “Level Up Their Fun.” You’ll report directly to ownership and work closely with our marketing, vendors and technology partners.

Key Responsibilities Team Leadership:

Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor front- and back-of-house staff; conduct performance reviews.

Guest Experience:

Maintain high service standards; resolve guest issues promptly and professionally.

Inventory & Vendor Management:

Monitor F&B and retail inventory levels, manage orders, and maintain vendor relationships.

Event Coordination & Marketing:

Plan and execute weekly events (PC tournaments, karaoke, trivia, table games); develop and lead outreach campaigns to engage local businesses and boost daytime traffic.

Process Documentation:

Improve or maintain SOPs for gaming station setup, kitchen/bar workflows, cash handling, and daily safety protocols.

Financial Oversight:

Track daily sales, labor costs, and COGS; assist with monthly P&L reporting and budget planning.

Compliance & Safety:

Ensure adherence to health, liquor, fire, and building codes; schedule and oversee inspections.

Technology & Systems:

Manage our esports software (ggLeap), POS, and CRM systems; coordinate with IT vendors for maintenance.

Community Engagement:

Build relationships with local businesses, colleges, and influencers to drive events and partnerships.
