Position Summary:

Assists the Rink Manager with overall execution of operational duties of the Koeppel Community Sports Center, William’s ’64 Rink.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for all evening ice maintenance and closing of the Center. Responsible for all cash draw reconciliation through each shift change. Will also prepare all transaction reports for the Rink Manager to process with the business office. Develop, implement and assist in administering a new employee training program for the Koeppel Community Sports Center. Manage employee certification programs at the Koeppel Community Sports Center. Will be knowledgeable and responsible for all mechanicals in the Koeppel Community Sports Center with the ability to troubleshoot any issues that may arise. The Assistant Rink Manager will also be part of the Building Management System Alarm notification chain. Responsible for all supply and mechanical inventories for the Koeppel Community Sports Center, to include all equipment maintenance schedules. Assist in hiring, training and development of Koeppel Community Sports Center operations employees. Other duties as assigned by Rink Manager. Physical Demands This position involves primarily indoor, with some outside facility maintenance activity, as well as a high degree of public contact and interaction, especially with vendors, contractors, program participants and employees. Must be able to perform work involving the need to be mobile throughout the building, lifting 75 pounds, sitting, standing, stooping, skating, bending, reaching, visually watching participants, reading, writing and counting cash. This position involves exposure to periods of high activity, emergency situations and stressful interaction at times with the public. Work is performed in an ice arena setting and this position requires the ability to assist subordinates in a 45-50 degree or cooler environment. At times, work can be physical in nature. Qualifications Vocational or Technical Training Required 3-5 years of related work experience preferred, but most importantly a willingness to learn and put forth effort is mandatory.
