This unique, hands-on role combines culinary leadership with general management responsibilities, ideal for someone who thrives in both the kitchen and front-of-house, and has experience managing private club or estate-style service. As the key operational leader, you’ll be responsible for delivering an exceptional dining experience for our members while overseeing daily kitchen, bar, and clubhouse functions. You’ll report directly to the Board of Governors and play a vital role in shaping the club’s hospitality vision. Key Responsibilities Culinary & Kitchen Leadership

  • Design and execute seasonal menus and rotating weekly specials tailored to member preferences.
  • Oversee all kitchen operations, maintaining high standards in quality, cleanliness, safety, and efficiency.
  • Manage all food, beverage, and supply ordering and inventory, with a focus on cost control and minimal waste. Clubhouse & Event Management
  • Lead all food and beverage service for member events, golf tournaments, and occasional public functions.
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the clubhouse, including bar service, dining room setup, and equipment upkeep.
  • Work with the Board to align hospitality offerings with member expectations and club culture. Team Management
  • Hire, train, and schedule kitchen and bar staff, fostering a collaborative, respectful work environment.
  • Maintain staff accountability and support ongoing development to ensure top-tier service. Member Engagement
  • Serve as a visible and approachable leader, engaging with members to enhance satisfaction and build loyalty.
  • Introduce innovative culinary experiences that reflect the club’s values and traditions. Qualifications
  • Proven experience running a kitchen and managing a team in a country club, restaurant, or private estate.
  • Strong background in a la carte dining and event catering.
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of food safety, health regulations, and financial management.
  • ServSafe or equivalent certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
