Position Overview:
The Restaurant Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of service, and delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight:
Assist in managing day-to-day restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
Staff Management:
Supervise and motivate front-of-house and back-of-house staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations. Ensure staff adherence to company policies and standards.
Customer Service:
Address and resolve guest complaints and concerns promptly and professionally. Ensure all guests receive exceptional service and a positive dining experience.
Financial Management:
Assist in managing financial aspects of the restaurant, including cash handling, budgeting, and cost control. Monitor and report on sales, labor, and inventory costs.
Quality Control:
Ensure that food and beverage quality meet the restaurant’s standards. Conduct regular inspections of food preparation, presentation, and cleanliness.
Compliance:
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Conduct regular checks to maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the Restaurant Manager and other team members to develop and implement strategies for improving service, enhancing customer satisfaction, and achieving business goals.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the restaurant industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant higher education or management training is a plus.
Skills:
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficient in restaurant management software and POS systems.
Attributes:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and remain calm under pressure. Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving team performance.
