Assistant Restaurant Manager 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars 322 South Frontage Road, New London, CT 06320 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for the food service industry, and a commitment to fostering a positive work environment. Responsibilities Assist in managing daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and profitability. Supervise and train staff in all aspects of restaurant operations, including customer service, food handling, and kitchen management. Oversee inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize waste. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling practices. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally to enhance guest satisfaction. Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation. Utilize POS systems for order processing and sales tracking. Support the General Manager in implementing marketing strategies to attract new customers. Experience Previous experience in restaurant management or a supervisory role within the food service industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of food service management principles, including inventory control and kitchen management. Proven ability to lead a team effectively while promoting a positive work culture. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction. Familiarity with POS systems and their application in restaurant operations is advantageous. Experience in supervising staff and training new employees is highly desirable.
