Our team is hiring a Unit Operations Manager – Food Service to lead a team of 15+ in the Fort Lauderdale area. This operation provides food service for multiple local customers using our fleet of vans and trucks. The role reports directly to the Regional Operations Manager. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work depending on customer demand or surge business. Candidates must perform well under pressure and in fast-paced environments. The ideal candidate will have prior management experience in high-volume settings and demonstrate eagerness, enthusiasm, optimism, and passion. This includes persistence, increased effort in the face of obstacles, pursuit of excellence, urgency, and ambition. Candidates must also build and maintain professional, positive relationships with staff, managers, customers, and vendors. Being approachable, respectful, and empathetic is key.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations, including: Food purchasing and menu planning Maintaining required records: sanitation logs, production, inventory, expenses, meal counts, and personnel files Full P&L accountability Truck and fleet maintenance Ensuring proper sanitation procedures are followed Managing food service staff including cooks, preparers, and drivers Ensuring food safety and quality standards Responding to customer feedback Planning and budgeting for meals and equipment Hiring, training, and onboarding employees Maintaining employee records, payroll, and compliance paperwork Ensuring

system data is accurate Deliver exceptional customer service and build a customer-focused team Ensure facility cleanliness and presentation Monitor and control labor costs Provide employee training and development Apply food safety and HACCP best practices Exhibit strong leadership, communication, and time management skills Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
