An Assistant District Manager is an entry level position that:

• Generally works 5 days a week, around 35 hours a week
• This position works overnight hours and weekends
• 8:00 pm until 2:00 am
• $17 a hour plus .65 for any mileage you use when delivering newspapers.
• We provide on the job training so you can be successful with your new career at the Daily News
• Part of your training will also include learning how to process the nightly paperwork and set up the Distribution Center This is an entry level opportunity that is responsible for orientating carrier prospects, delivering newspapers not currently under contract, working with current contractors on improving service metrics and assisting with any questions or concerns contractors may have.
• -This role is vital to ensure our customers receive correct and timely delivery of the products they have purchased. The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating and delivering products anywhere throughout Collier County. This opportunity is not solely office related, you will spend most of your time in the field delivering newspapers, assisting contractors and verifying product.
• -Assistant District Managers will be teamed with a District Manager to learn the beginning steps of how to become a District Manager. This training will include becoming familiar with the warehouse operation, email, paperwork, site specific applications and software.
• -Assistant District Managers will also learn how to set up and run the distribution center, load and unload trailers, stack out carrier product for delivery and assist in all other areas as needed.

Qualified candidates will be able to work 3rd shift hours with weekends required and Holidays as needed. Assistant District Manages are Part-Time 30+ hours a week employees. This is a Part Time role that starts at $17 an hour and when delivering or verifying newspapers, you receive .65 for every mile you drive including your hourly wage!!. Principals only.
