to join our Rowe’s team. Manage the department to ensure an unprecedented shopping experience for the customer, promote sales and achieve profit margins and labor goals by focusing on quality and freshness. Oversee the total operations of the Deli department and manage employees, including hiring, firing, training, coaching and scheduling. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide exceptional service including greeting customers and answering questions, with a positive attitude. Effectively communicate with customers and respond to questions and requests in a timely manner. Operate deli equipment (e.g., slicer, fryer, oven, scale, knives, box cutter, and pricing gun) according to company guidelines. Provide work direction, effective training, development, and corrective action for Deli associates and direct them to achieve department and company objectives, ensure safety; conduct performance reviews. Ensure proper staffing to address service levels and efficient utilization of labor. Ensure storage and dating SOPs are followed for all products. Write orders based on store needs and trends. Manage the process for price changes and in-store transfers. Ensure removal and disposal of un-sellable products from the sales floor. Ensure proper cold chain procedures are adhered to including delivery to the store, storage, stocking, and holding on the sales floor. Follow all merchandising guidelines, including display models, signage, and product packaging Maintain excellent standards of sanitation and freshness Assists in other duties as assigned. Follow established departmental and store policies and procedures Assists as needed to ensure the success of the store.
QUALIFICATIONS
At least 18 years of age. Ability to deliver friendly and prompt customer service. Ability to read, write, and do simple math. Ability to follow instructions. Ability to work well with others and work well as a team A passion for serving others Food Prep experience is preferred
PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS
Perform duties primarily in the Deli section. Work involves walking, bending, standing, lifting, and carrying products up to 60lbs, hand-eye coordination, and interaction with customers and associates. Duties also include frequent interaction with customers and fellow associates
